The progressive cycles have been in vogue over a period of time with periodic and alternate balloon and shrink phases. One receding and giving way to the other, that takes over diligently in its own turn with amazing and mouth gaping discipline, much to the envy of a lunar or a solar cycle.
Putting on weight has never been uneasy just like shedding it has never been easy.
Just when the waist line threatens to develop into a complete waste_ that is the time for the alarms to go off. Panic buttons are pressed. Starvation and diet plans are made. Hectic work out and activity schedule is devised. Vows, promises and resolves are renewed. That is precisely when a bloated full moon like outline all set and geared up to assume the shape of a round ripe circle begins to wane successively.
More for the sake of the preserving the wardrobe and little for the self satisfaction part, a complete sacrificial package is launched. Lemon and lime take the centre stage and all the lime light. Fresh juices, fruits and vegies occupy the rest of the available room. Sugar and sweets are kept at bay and account for all the bitterness taking over. Corn and oatmeal boast of unique pedestal.
With that goes a bust of exercise and jogging with a lot of hype. FB status lines are religiously updated intruding the global peace seeking appreciation and recognition from every gender in every nook and corner of the world.
The efforts so diligently put forth and perseverance begins to bear fruit. Sunken cheeks and hollow eyes acclaim widespread fame for distortion of features and contours of the face. The potbellied and paunchy existence dissolves to pave way for narrower belt laps. A leaner taller look ultimately becomes a reality. Suddenly, the outfits begin to fit better defining a smarter handsome look.
But happiness is short lived as are the four seasons. Complacency and laziness takes over ushering in a subsequent cycle. What we have been just through is the crest of the sinusoidal wave. Headed straight towards the abysmal trough now. True to every bit of the word, what goes around comes around.
